Newholm & Sleights

Newholm is a pretty little village located in
the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Newholm
is only two miles away from the centre of Whitby
and the picturesque North Yorkshire coastline,
also known as the dinosaur coast. Newholm is ideal
for both a coastal and a country holiday, on the
edge of the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors, in
mid to late summer these are covered with the
heather in full bloom. Attractive villages are
scattered in and around this area.
Sleights too is ideal for both a coastal and
country holiday. Located just 4 miles from the
picturesque Yorkshire coastline, where boat trips
are available. The sandy beach stretches 3 miles
to Sandsend. The cliff top golf course looks out
over the North Sea. Sleights is also on the edge
of dramatic moors country, littered with attractive
villages and scenery.
Though quiet, Sleights boasts two public houses,
a fish and chip shop, a café, a butchers,
an ‘early till late’ shop, bakery
and post office. The North Yorkshire Steam Railway
terminus is a few minutes drive, together with
regular public transport to and from the nearby
port of Whitby.

The Green
Cottage |

| ‘The Green’,
at Newholm Green, is a lovely old stone built semi
detached cottage, with red pan tiles and double
glazing through-out. The cottage is over 2 storeys,
lovingly refurbished to provide comfortable, well
equipped accommodation for a maximum of four guests. |
